Terms of Use

Effective date: August 10, 2026

This agreement is between you and the operator of BlackCat and governs your use of the app and related services. Read it in full before use. Starting or continuing to use the app means you understand and accept it.

Acceptance and scope

This agreement applies to bookkeeping, asset management, budgets, statistics, sync, backup, import, export, category sharing, and related features. If you do not agree, stop using the app. Minors and others without full legal capacity should use it only after a guardian has reviewed and accepted these terms.

Nature of the app and acceptable use

The app is a personal recording and organization tool. Statistics, budgets, costs, and exchange rates are informational only and are not financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. Verify records and calculations and take responsibility for your decisions. Do not upload unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, or unsafe content, disrupt services, bypass controls, or violate another person's rights.

Your data and backups

You retain lawful rights to content you enter and confirm you are entitled to process and share it. Financial records stay on your device by default; iCloud, WebDAV, file backups, and public sharing operate only when you enable them. To create and maintain a public link, you authorize storage, copying, and display of shared content as necessary. Protect devices, accounts, credentials, and backups, and verify that important backups can be restored.

Purchases and subscriptions

If membership or in-app purchases are offered, products, benefits, prices, periods, trials, and renewal terms are shown on the purchase page and confirmed by the App Store; Apple processes payment. Manage or cancel subscriptions through your store account and use Restore Purchases for eligible items. Refunds and billing disputes follow Apple's rules and applicable law. Store confirmation controls if it conflicts with in-app text.

Third-party services and responsibility

iCloud, WebDAV, system speech recognition, exchange rates, model downloads, and the App Store are provided by third parties under their terms and privacy policies. We take reasonable steps to maintain the app, but networks, devices, user configuration, and third-party services can cause delays, interruptions, or data differences. Any limitation applies only where lawful and does not exclude non-waivable consumer rights.

Changes, termination, and contact

We may update this agreement for feature, provider, or legal changes and give reasonable notice of material changes in the app, release notes, or another appropriate channel. Continued use after an update means acceptance; otherwise, stop using the app and delete local data. Send questions, infringement notices, or public-share removal requests through the App Support page.
